Blogging is now a worldwide phenomenon with weblogs reaching a potential audience of hundreds of millions. Blogs have been described as the ultimate in publishing for the people and have been used to challenge governments and the press. Bye Bye Birdie Video Blog: Day 3: English Teacher Song

Hi, welcome to Day 3 of the Bye Bye Birdie Video Blog. Today we're taking a look at the song English Teacher. In case anyone out there is worried that I seem to be going slow, relax. I'm very busy doing other things this weekend, but come Monday I should be able to get a lot more done. I'm trying very hard to make sure English Teacher will be done tomorrow. In all fairness, this scene is pretty long.
Anyway, I'd like to move onto my next bit of software. Last time I showed you ImageMixer, the first program I run when I work on a movie. Next up is the most powerful program: VirtualDub. Because it's so powerful, It's probably going to take multiple blogs to describe how I use it. Furthermore, I'll come back to it when I talk about AVISynth. But for now, let's focus on VirtualDub.
VirtualDub is a free program that lets me really take a look at a video. I can watch the whole thing or just look at it frame-by-frame. However, in the early phases, the most useful feature is the ability to extract portions of the movie. The problem with having 18 hours of footage on my computer is that the files are too big for my movie making programs to handle all at once. By selecting a start point and an end point, I can save smaller segments of the footage to my harddrive. These chunks are much easier to handle. They take awhile to save, but it's worth the effort.
This post is getting too long, so I'm ending it here. I hope you all enjoy Tina's performance of English Teacher!
